What would we do and where would we be in life without our GIRLS?! My girlfriends mean the world to me and I always always always look to them for fun, adventures, laughs, advice, support, you name it. I know Valentine’s Day is centered around our significant others (who I love too) but this doesn’t mean we also shouldn’t celebrate our girls with Galentine’s Day!

What is Galentine’s?

Galentine’s and the idea of it came from the TV show Parks and Recreation. What I love about it is that rather than an anti-Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day is a day when you and your girlfriends can come together to celebrate each other no matter what their relationship status is.

The Perfect Galentine’s Date Ideas

Have a Pizza Party

With a heart-shaped pizza of course! If you are in San Diego make sure you get the heart shaped pizza from Ambroigo 15, let me tell you it’s out of this world. I love a fun pizza party – wine and/or beer depending on the taste buds.

Have a Spa Day

You can either plan a spa day out at a spa, I personally love doing spa days at hotels because they will typically give you a day pass to the property aka the gym, locker room, and pool! If that’s not in the cards, you can also do this at someone’s house – face masks, nails, cucumber water, the whole 9 yards! This will leave you and your gal pals relaxed and rejuvenated.

Cookbook party

I personally love this idea because there are always so many recipes that I want to try and never get an excuse to try them! Some of my current favorites are broccyourbody, half baked harvest, Dash of Mandi, Erin O’brien, Plant-Based on a Budget, Life is but a Dish, and rachlmansfield. I had to stop myself because I was getting carried away…but see how fun it could be. If you do this, invite me plz&thx.

Wine Tasting Soiree

Who doesn’t like wine?! Yes, that is a rhetorical question because if you’re reading this and following me, then chances are you like to indulge in a little vino. So use the day as an excuse to host your very own wine tasting party. You can read up on all the wines before or everyone can bring a bottle of their current fave!

Mimosa Brunch

Again, this can be at someone’s house or out to a restaurant (depending on COVID restrictions where you are currently). Brunch and girlfriends are the perfect combinations!

Have a Sleepover

When’s the last time you and your girls had a sleepover?! High school? Or maybe college? It’s such a fun excuse to hang out with the girls all night! Bring the comfy PJs and have yourself a real girl’s night.

There are so many fun options to do with you and your girls, how do you pick just one?! Tell me, how are YOU going to celebrate Galentine’s Day this year?!

P.S. (SIDE NOTE!)

Cheers to your girl gang, to the women that you support and that support you.
Moms, sisters, girlfriends, cousins, office besties … and to all of you amazing women on this platform too that just crush it and live your passions every day!

Big hug and high five from me to you – your relationship “status” doesn’t matter, loving yourself and your happiness is what counts first – and celebrating your girls, of course!!!
⠀⠀
Cheers ladies. You rock. Happy Galentine’s Day!
