About Me

Hey Friends! I’m Amanda, the blonde behind Blonde out of Water & it’s lovely to meet you all! Like so many bloggers, I started writing when I needed a creative outlet and decided to start a blog. My blog started to share new things I found and came to love from restaurants, wine, things to do, to clothes! It’s transformed into my outlet for my everyday life to share my daily inspirations & everything in between. My hope is that you can relate to me and my life in one way or another.

So What's My Story?

I grew up in sunny San Diego where I fell in love with the ocean and went to college in. I studied communication at San Diego State University. I decided to take a leap of faith and move to Boston in 2017 where I spent a little over 2.5 years and fell in love with everything New England had to offer and where I got serious about blogging. Life brought me back to my San Diego roots, though you’ll still see me cheering on the Patriots and the Red Sox.

Monday – Friday you’ll find me working as a full time hotel sales manager. But I’m your typical crazy dog mom. A self-proclaimed food critic, sommelier, caffeine obsessed and online shopping addict who always has a bad case of wanderlust. Though I love all things local and making the most of everyday life I am constantly counting the days until my next vacation. I believe in creating a life worth living. I try to stay as inspiring, upbeat, and positive throughout every season of life.

My favorite things in life are beaches, sunsets, wine, uncontrollable laughter, and anything nautical.

Everything you see here is written from an honest and down-to-earth point of view. I hope you enjoy. Let’s be friends! Follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram!
